LindaB
Well .... I bit the dust and ordered the Circle Lord's new Swirls template the other day.....it's going to be great to be able to do the nice big circles giving lots of movement to a quilt without all the stop/starts and the bonus of having 3 different size circles too. ... Do I hear a "ka-ching".....??? Once again, Circle Lord designed a great tool for us....Thanks Michael and Kay.

SandraC
Wow...good picture taking, Patty...is that with natural light??? What is that 2nd quilt pattern? I used "Square Dance" for the first time yesterday...it worked up well, looks great and was fun to do.
SandraC
Oh, I forgot to mention...the nice thing about the Square Dance, too, is that it fits just fine on my Liberty. I thought the design might be a tight squeeze but it was no problem.
Katydids
Hi Sandra, Thanks. I took a photography class at MQS and it really helped. I have a big sliding glass door in my studio and it lets in lots of natural light in the morning. I think I may have had my overhead light on as well. I use a tripod now and no flash. Both quilts are a strips and circles design. I don't know if it is a pattern or not, it was a class that was done at an LQS. I think the 2nd quilt was "ad libbed" so to speak. circlelord
Hi, Jane Ann inspired me to make the Swirls. Please click below to go to her Webshots to see her first Swirls Quilt. She says that she will do some "outside the box" work with it later. Also, check out the crosshatching on the quilt beside it. Cheers, Michael Jane Ann Swirls

moogiequilter
you know at first I thought CL was waaaay too overpriced but I'm starting to really like some of the all over designs. so stupid newbie question - is it hard to line up the next line after you make one pass across the quilt? mrsbishwit
no, it's not hard to line up the next row. They have the markings or the top of the next row groves where you can line up to. Simiular to lining up when you are using the Jodi Beamish/Willowleaf studio pantograghs. Joann
