cjtinkle
I think I need to order some black batting to have on hand. I'd like to hear feedback on Quilter's Dream Poly (Select) in black, and Hobbs 80/20 in black. I'm leaning towards the Hobbs, because I don't get a lot of requests for 100% poly battings. Thanks! cjtinkle
Even though it's poly? No customer complaints if they need black and all you have is poly?
Primitive1
Yes even thought it is poly, I acts just like the other QD products and holds up really well with machine quilting. There just aren't that many choices for black batting but QD is quality.
Quilting Heidi
None of mine complain. Do up a sample so they can see how beautiful it comes out.
witha'K'quilting
winline textiles has a black blend...that if i remember correctly is a 60/40 blend. it quilts up beautifully!
cjtinkle
Okay thanks everyone. I love QD battings, and they're all I use for my own quilts, but most of my customers ask for cotton. Although they always love the way my baby quilts look, I use QD poly for those. LinneaMarie
I believe Sue patten only uses Hobbs.
Sandra Darlington
I use only QD in black for my own quilts. I received some black batting from a customer that was very crappy. Unfortunately, it was also pieced together, so was not in a wrapper to know what is was. I feel you can't go wrong with QD.
cjtinkle
I ordered the quilters dream, shipping was better than HObb's
Myrna Ficken
I am a big fan of QB black.
NollR
I've used both QD black and Hobb's 80/20 Black and like both. I do also like Pellon Legacy's black batting - it's 70 cotton/30 poly and also quilts up nicely!
