BossQuilter
I have a 4-patch block that needs to be SID with half-moons on each side of seams EXCEPT the outsides which only get one moon on the inside of the block seam... I have been trying to trace using terry sally's twist method, which works with 9-patch, but keep missing two lines.... If anyone has a sequencing chart for quilting some of the more popular blocks can you share it with me before I lose my mind? :_) THanks,
chickenscratch
Trinity, I have tried and tried, but I keep coming up missing the top arc on the lower left square. I guess if you wanted to backstitch a SID seam you could just fill that one in. I'll keep working on it. I know there has to be a way.
Boni
Is this what you're looking for? The two outside bumps can be positioned anywhere, just turn it where you want it. Hope it helps.
chickenscratch
I found a way,but it will still involve restitching the center seam between the top two and bottom two blocks.
BossQuilter
Bonnie, yes this is the same way I was doing it... just couldn't get the SID for the center lines... dang!@
Deb2bie
I can't get draw to work for me so I'll try to re sequence the above pic. 1,16,5,6,15,14,13,12,11,4,7,10,9,8,3,2 This takes you all around the block and gets you back to the place you started curve 1. This sequence is from the first continuous curve class I took from (I think) Cindy Roth. Good luck!!
Boni
You want to CC the block, but also SID the center lines? I'm thinking you'll have to double stitch two lines to do it continuous. If someone comes up with a sequence that does not trace over a line, I'd sure like to see it too. Is this how Deb2bie sees it?
Gator
I don't have time to look it up right now, I'm at work but Marylynn Badger showed how to do this technique on one of her Fons and Porter episodes. You could probably find the video online.

BossQuilter
This is the block and yes one would believe there is a way! I'll have to investigate Marilyn Badger's site and see if she can help here... Thanks
AnnHenry
Thinking this over very quickly, won't it work if you start in the center line top to bottom, the up one side of the inside seam and down the other side, and then around the inside edges of the other blocks. countrystitcher
Just ran across this sequence last night in a Fons and Porter magazine. It was in one of 2008's issue, not sure now which one. Good Luck.

Boni
How do you watch these episodes online?
Gator
I belong to Quilters Club of America which allows me to watch videos on Fons and Porter's websites and Quilters News Network. I'm sure there's other ways to view the episodes, maybe others on here know a "free" way to view the episodes.
Marlette
Hi gals, did anyone find the correct sequence? I would like to know this too. Perhaps one of you who were able to watch that video would be able/willing to share. PLEEESE
