kimmiequilts
I need to get this quilt done this week and I've got the blocks figured out but can't decide what to do with the red & green sashing....any ideas out there please??? The quilt was a BOM at the LQS a few years ago, the Santa's are all fused and some not well so I've got a lot of detail work to do. Each Santa is outfitted for one month of the year, my customer has to add buttons and some embroidery.
Sheri Butler
Freehand Holly!!!!! Holly on a vine so to speak. And Snowflakes in the 4 patches. I'd give anything for a Wacom writing tablet, but I want the big one...LOL! maybe 2010....anyway, i'd draw it if i could, but I think you get my drift! victoriasews
I'd use the seam between the red and green sashing as a stem and either use feathers or holly sprouting off the stem. Then I'd stick a motif in the 4 patch with either 4 feather plumes or holly leaves sprouting from the center intersection.
LadyLake
I'd do something geometric in the fourpatches to give the quilt a stable look and then holly in the sashing.
Sheri Butler
Kim, where on earth did you/your client get that pattern? Looks like different Santa's in ea. block. kathyb
Shari, send me your address and email. I think I still have a couple of those kitted blocks, maybe 4, that I never made and I'd be happy to mail them to you if you pay postage. I'm in the middle of a move, so please be patient. :-)
ahorsley
This picture is really bad. I need more light, but you can make out the continuous trees if you look closely. They go pretty fast.

kimmiequilts
ahorsley, if you are trying to post a picture you need to have it in Webshots or some other photo site that can re-size and give you a URL to post in a forum. You can see it at my Webshots link listed above. I think you are talking about a tree design for the sashing? I've not gotten far, every quilt my tension on Miss Mille's been fine and I started this quilt and KAboom it's a mess. I cleaned the bad thread out and will now, after a tea break, try another bobbin! Wish me luck!

Butterfly
I think holly leaves would be great. Zig zag them. You could fit four good sized leaves on each sashing section. Jessica
