ETownsend
Good snowy morning. We got about three inches of snow last night in Richmond, VA and expecting four to six more today. Glad it is a weekend though. I wanted to share some pics of a wholecloth quilt I finished last summer and then colored with colored pencils. After I finished (months and months later...) I washed the quilt and many sections of the coloring washed out. I guess I did not seal it properly! So I am finishing the re-coloring a second time! I'm using fabric paints to do the touch up. I think the time I have put in on this quilt can be measured in the hundreds! Anyway, here are pictures...The quilt measures 110 in x 110 in. It's a big one. This last picture is when I finished the binding and was just ready to color it the first time! Live and learn!
Primitive1
Evelyn, How pretty and colorful! You did a great job with the quilting. We now have about 12" of snow and it is really coming down hard! My eldest dtr who is a nurse is currently trying to drive home from her hosp shift in culpeper....keep her in your prayers! LadyLake
What a treasure, Linda! It looks like it was well worth the touch-up. Thanks for the inspiration of putting so much time and care into an heirloom quilt!
ETownsend
Vicki, I know it's quite bad north and west of us. I hope she makes it home safely. Good day to stay inside if you can.
Quilting Heidi
Evelyn it is beautiful. Looks like a lot of stitching! Vicki your daughter is in my prayers. We aren't supposed to get any snow up here in Northern NY, it will stay just south of us. I think somebody was looking out for me because I haven't finished my Christmas shopping, in fact I don't have one gift for my hubby!

RitaR
Gorgeous quilt Evelyn, wish I had time for such.. I'd get too bored. For all with snow, I'm horribly jealous. All we saw yesterday for a lovely snowfall, huge and thick flakes, which didn't stick.. Sure was cold going to the car and I got those flakes down the back of my neck. Forgot how cold it is. again, that quilt is a real work of art, and beautiful too. congrats.. Ritar
PattyJo
Evelyn, I love this quilt and all the hours that you have put into it will make it that much more special. You have created a heirloom that will be in your family for years. I love all the color that you have put into it. Great job.

Sandra Darlington
Spectacular quilt!!!! We are expecting about 24" of snow here. I was able to do some quilting and bake some cookies. It's almost time for a glass of red wine, or maybe some Chambord. Let it snow...
