2nd time around quilt...

Recommended Posts

Good snowy morning. We got about three inches of snow last night in Richmond, VA and expecting four to six more today. Glad it is a weekend though.

I wanted to share some pics of a wholecloth quilt I finished last summer and then colored with colored pencils. After I finished (months and months later...) I washed the quilt and many sections of the coloring washed out. I guess I did not seal it properly! So I am finishing the re-coloring a second time! I'm using fabric paints to do the touch up. I think the time I have put in on this quilt can be measured in the hundreds! Anyway, here are pictures...The quilt measures 110 in x 110 in. It's a big one.

This last picture is when I finished the binding and was just ready to color it the first time!

Live and learn!

Gorgeous quilt Evelyn, wish I had time for such.. I'd get too bored.

For all with snow, I'm horribly jealous. All we saw yesterday for a lovely snowfall, huge and thick flakes, which didn't stick.. Sure was cold going to the car and I got those flakes down the back of my neck. Forgot how cold it is.

again, that quilt is a real work of art, and beautiful too. congrats..
