auntstephie
Should have my APQS Milli by next Wednesday!!! Yea! Ok, folks, here is where I need help today. When I supply the batting and backing how much mark up do I put on the goods? Any suggestions? Stephanie Stitch Garden Designs LLC
Katydids
Hi Stephanie. Nice to see you on here. It was good to meet you the other day at the Road Show. I double my cost for goods. Then I can add promos like a discount on batting or backing (when they get it in conjuction with the quilting services) for a month or however long I want. It is a nice break for them now and again and it keeps them happy and coming back. Good luck and congratulations!!
auntstephie
Hi Patty, I enjoyed myself so much. It was good to be there and to meet you guys. Thanks for the reply. That helps a great deal. Stephanie
LinneaMarie
I usually do the same thing as Patty. Sometimes, if freight is an issue; I divide it up and add it on the the almost doubled price.

Chocoholic
I don't quite double my wholesale price, because I don't want customers to go to JoAnn's or somewhere and buy cheap batting and then expect me to produce a good quilt with it. However, I do not want to compete with my LQSs either, as they have enough trouble staying open, so I don't go too low. Hope that helps you out. Matt Sparrow
Woohoo! Congrats! I try to sell my batting slightly higher than the local shops. This keeps me non-competitive with them as they refer me a lot of customers. I wouldn't want to burn those bridges.
