iedquilts
I'm using Rainbow for the first time and experiencing far too many thread breaks. It's just not compatible with MizzMilli What must i do to get these two to play nice? Bottom Line in the bobbin. thanks Irene getting frustrated. barbm
Irene, You should be able to use Rainbows is MizzMilli, but it might take a little tweaking. There's an article from Superior in the booklet I gave you for your Beginner's Class, all about using Rainbows in our machines. Have you looked at that? ffq-lar
Slather on some Sewer's Aid. Swap out the needle if that is where the thread is breaking. Check your pigtails for grooves or burrs. Try a looser top tension. I use Rainbows with few problems. It is such pretty thread-- you will find a way but it may take some adjustments. RoseCity Quilter
I find if I weave the thread rather than wrap the thread on the 3 whole thread guide I have very few breaks. Love this thread!
witha'K'quilting
i too weave rainbows through 2 holes in each thread guide. i love rainbows...and you will too once you find the sweet spot for threading!
BethDurand
Loosen up your top tension too. I used to fight with Rainbows, but with Sewer's Aide and a loose top tension, it's great!
NollR
Ditto all of the above. Rainbow thread is worth it - I wish they would come out with MORE colors! Don't forget if you do still get a few thread breaks to make sure you TIE and bury this thread since it's so slippery so it doesn't come undone! Good Luck!!!!
