Phyllis Wright
I want to thank everyone who gave me suggestions for quilting this top. I must say that I am not usually stuck for design ideas, but this one had me really foxed! I couldn't see how I could do anything continuous and thought it would take me for ever to knot and bury all the thread tails if I did every section seperately. However, it finally "spoke" to me and this is what I came up with. I did the straight line treatment in the borders as they were quite full and I know that this hides the fullness somewhat. quiltmonkey
Phyllis, I love your quilting job. It's beautiful. I especially like the little loops around the stars...it gives the quilt lots of movement. Just darling. Shana

Charlene
You did a great job. The quilting compliments the blocks and you did a nice job avoiding all those seams. Char
chickenscratch
Very pretty Phyllis. Great idea using bars in the borders to even out the fullness.
Phyllis Wright
Thanks everyone for your kind comments, and also for pointing out the star the customer had put the wrong way. I did change it for her without asking her about it, I just hope it wasn't her 'humility' block!

LindaFritchen
Phyllis, Very nice! Do you mind telling us how you continued on from the '4-leaves' in the stars? Did you sneek down a seam? Looks good.
Phyllis Wright
Linda, no, I did each star motif as a seperate design, started in the centre, went into each section and ended back in the middle again, then knotted and buried the thread tails. Takes a bit longer but I couldn't see any alternative.
