Farmland Quilter
Has anyone tried Poly Quilter or Perfect Quilter threads. If so, what can you tell me about them?
barbm
Neither one is new; in fact, one of them (perfect quilter?) is being discontinued by Superior.
Farmland Quilter
Thanks Barb, I'm definitely behind on things. Do you think they will keep the poly quilter? I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and what they thought. I like Rainbows but sometimes wish for something heavier.
Busy Quilting
I've used both poy quilter and prefect quilter in my macine and had no probles with them. Need to play and get your tensionloosenend to start with. They are definitely a thicker thread.
Dave-Jane
We have used them and they are both just fine. As Lyn said, just adjust the tension a bit. It is a heavier thread and is more distinct on the quilt. Great for infant and kids quilts where you really want to see the quilting design. mamu
I have used them and just like everyone said, they are a thicker thread. I do like the look of it on a quilt where you want things to stand out a bit. I know that Superior states something about this thread being non-compatible with some long arm machines...however, I have not had any problems with it. You do need to 'play' with your tension a bit and I use magna bobbins with it. It is a nice thread but Superior is discontinuing it to make room for their new thread line. You can pick up some nice thread at a good price...smaller spools have better color choices and they are around $3 on close out price.
CWBowser
Perfect Quilter is great for hand quilting. Since it comes in variegated colors it adds a little zip to your hand quilting. It is being discontinued so the prices are very good.
aktbone
I have used both and love them. I used Sew Bob in the bobbin with no problem and a bigger needle. Play with the tension and it is like magic! Good luck.
Della
My favorite thread is Omni from Superior...but I like a heavy thread line.
Bekah
I have used Poly Quilter and had no problems once I got the tension set correctly. I used it on a kids quilt and it worked out nicely.
