They are both beginners and did a great job on their tops and I quilted them for free for them. Two have already shipped back to them and the last one will be in the mail tomorrow. Here is what I have painfully experienced........just because a thread color is a great choice does not always mean it is the right thread to use if you are free handing. You have to be able to see the thread to know where you need to go ahead of where you are at and that means all colors that are used in the top.....................this is what I call 'advance preparation' it is the same when playing the piano...you have to be able to read the music ahead to prepare for where you need to go........
