cegates Posted December 7, 2013 Report Share Posted December 7, 2013 This is a wall hanging that the owner of my LQS owner pieced for a class. I love the way it turned out. I got my inspiration from Julie Masden at Green Fairy Quilts. Her new book, Wide Open Spaces, has just been published and my copy should be delivered on Monday. Sooooo excited. That girl just drips with talent. Also - I learned something new with this project. My stitch regulator seemed to be failing, just cutting out at inopportune times. But I noticed that it was at the same place in the block each time, right where I was using a ruler to sew the diagonal lines. I finally figured out that I was pressing down so hard on the ruler that I was causing the SR to disengage. I guess I don't know my own strength, better ease up on the weight training.
