sueky1
I would like to order a Saddle Stool for my sister and I would like to know if anyone likes a certain brand or are they pretty much the same? She has had a lot of surgery on her ankles and knees making standing to quilt very uncomfortable. I found several styles on internet but would like any suggestions you may have. Thanks, Becky
hollyc
I actually ordered one from ebay, under $150. cheapest I found anywhere
Mary Beth
I ordered mine from ebay for $99. I really like it. I have terrible posture so this chair helps when I start feeling droopy
mrmquilt
I got mine off ebay also for around $88. I made sure I bought the one that was stiffer padding. Some of them have a very thick soft padding. The one that I had tried at the quilt shows wasn\'t so puffy so that is what I looked for. I also made sure it had the ring to put your feet on. Hope this helps some. Michele
Sheri Butler
I got my drafting stool at office depot. Left the back off of it, and it has the ring at the bottom for a foot rest. Comfy heavily padded seat too! $
clovismom
I got mine at bizchair.com. It adjusts 25-35 inches and has a seat angle adjustment on it. Raquel Birch APQS Sales Representative California
rcck00
I got mine from Sam\'s Club Online. I think it was about $139... I like it a lot, and I got it in about 3 days.
Quilting Heidi
I got mine at 1stergonomics.com and love it. It was around $139. For those of you that want more cushion on your seat...lord knows I should have enough natural cushion but after sitting for 3 or 4 hours I have a numb spot...my bil recommended a jelli knealing mat used for gardening. He found his at BJ\'s. Works like a charm!
Myrna Ficken
I got mine at bizchair.com.
ramona-quilter
I use a drafting chair from Bizchair.com, same as Raquel. I love that footring thing on the bottom. I am tall so I really like how high that chair goes. And it comes in a bizillion different fabrics/colors.
sueky1
Thanks for all the help. I found a saddle stool on-line that advertises that it is “best suited for the female anatomy”. Has anyone used this type of stool? Some stools appear to be a large bicycle type seat and as I remember, bicycle seats aren’t that comfortable for sitting very long. This is the web address for this saddle stool. www.1stergo.com/pc_saddleseats/303-din-916.html Thanks, Becky
Mary Beth
This is the exact saddle stool I have. I think we are all talking about the same thing. Mine was $99 and no shipping fee. This one is $89 but I didn\'t look at shipping. http://item.express.ebay.com/NEW-SADDLE-SEAT-ERGONOMIC-DRAFTING-BAR-COUNTER-STOOL_W0QQitemZ130199624395QQihZ003QQtrZexpQQcmdZExpressItem
Quilting Heidi
Becky, This is the one I got. http://www.1stergo.com/pc_saddleseats/ST205.html The key is to make sure it goes up and down enough for you. You\'re right though all seats are created equally! LOL I did find a jel pad that is made for knealing on and it adds just the perfect amount of cushion. Quilting Heidi
Mary Beth, Trust me you wouldn\'t think I would have a problem either! Maybe I just have a sensitive tooshie!
jacksong
I also ordered mine from bizchair.com. Thanks Myrna for their website. I love mine. I still have a tendency to stand when I quilt and love my hydraulic lift for that.
Kathleen
I bought mine at Sam\'s Club, it was very affordable and it looks like it rolled out of a Harley Davidson showroom! I try to refrain from putting on my biker boots and leather vest while quilting... ;-) but ya know...LOL
