sewingjunky
Hi everyone, I know this sounds a little weird, but I am going to Reno next week and I need it to be a learning experience for my quilting business. I sure would like to make this a business trip. So do any of you have any ideas for learning opportunities in Reno? Thanks Brendalee
ffq-lar
Hi Brendalee--email or U2U Bonnie--she lived and quilted in Reno for years. The only thing I ever learned in Reno was that I can't play blackjack! Have a great trip and learn a lot!
witha'K'quilting
Dory goes to Reno often. Maybe she knows of something. I do know that there are a couple of quilt shops in Reno. Also I am 330 miles from Reno (Ely). And now you know what I know. Is that knowledge enough for you??

DoryJM
Brendalee...Windy Moon Quilts, Going Batty and Sierra Sewing all offer classes and are in Reno. The most beautiful quilt shop in northern NV is located in Gardnerville, about an hour south of Reno. The Quilt House is beautiful; great fabrics and lovely antiques mixed in. I don't think they're for sale, but they sure make the fabric look beautiful! Have a fun trip!! Hopefully, I'll see you in October for Myrna's classes!! I actually did this once. I made a quilt fashioned after the marble floors at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. I lived in Reno for awhile but I didn't quilt back then.
