rduncan
Thanks all. I was completely stumped about what thread to use and there is was in the drawer with the wrapper still on. Pleasant surprise. The top is quilted in the picture and the binding was applied with the longarm before I removed it from the frame. Applying the binding with the longarm has saved me a lot of time on the last 2 quilts. No wrestling, pinning, sticking of fingers, clearing off the left hand space on my sewing table to get clearance for the quilt while I bind at my DSM. All that was left was the 10" and the tails for me to finish at the DSM, that was enough wrestling for me. Next one I will put the ends on the side so that I can join the ends off to the side and complete the whole binding before removing from the frame. Meant to this time but was so excited to get this done that I forgot. Thanks again.
rduncan
Oh, if you have Kim Brunners first DVD she has an extra on the end that shows how to apply the binding with the longarm. If not, there are videos on YouTube also.
