Butterfly
I always tell my customers that I don't like Request cotton. However, what about the poly?
kimmiequilts
I don't like the Request loft at all, it's just too thin and stretches, it's not meant for longarm machines, you can get the poly in Select loft which is better! If they want the quilt to be a bit puffy then the Dream Puff, which is poly, is great. Just my opinion...
Quilting Heidi
I agree with Kim. I like the select and supreme.
Katydids
same here, don't like the request weight at all, but the select poly is great. I keep this in stock for my customers.
skrat
I like the select and supreme loft in the poly also. The request is just too thin to use on a longarm. I don't know if you could double it and do better or not.
Myrna Ficken
I like the select the best too
Janette
What about the dream blend 70/30 - does anyone have good results with that? Thanks Janette:)
LinneaMarie
I love the Dream Blend! It's soft and easy to work with. It also is a nice weight. And I like the Deluxe loft of Dream Poly and Dream Cotton. I l also love the Dream Puff and Dream Wool (more definition):D
lindasewsit
I use the Dream Blend the most! But I am doing my first quilt with the QD wool, and oh my!! do I ever love it!! I'm hooked! I also like the Dream Puff. That gives real definition to your quilting too! linda
Butterfly
Janette, Dream Wool is my favorite. I just used the blend last week for the first time and it was no problem. Jess
LadyLake
Jessica, I've never tried QD Poly Request, because it supposedly is too thin for the LA, but I can see where it could work fine for a small table runner or clothing, if you were careful. I use Select for regular quilts.
Betsy
I have used QD Poly Request on my longarm. I quilt alot of samples for a local quilt shop and they provide the batting. I was able to use it successfully but I had to be very, very careful. I had to ask for a more substantial batting from them (they didn't want to use my batting!I only use QD.) After a bit of educating..... They finally started providing me with the QD Poly Select. Much better!
