sewlinzi
Irene - if you know someone who is going to MQX then send it there - I may need to drum up some interest and get some sponsors! If not, please post it... Karie - I have a gallery of some web pics of the project on the picasa link below my signature
Brenni
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Linzi - you should just pack up the kids and have each one carry one or two on the plane. I wouldn't let these out of my sight. Mary

JustSewSimple
The whole idea of these panels is something outside the box but the panels that have been shown are amazing! This one from Irene is just fabulous! Irene, you are going down in history as a great yurt panel maker!!!
KDquilter
Thanks Linzi - so if I've got this right - a Yurt is an out building? Are you putting those beautiful panels on the inside or the outside?
Bonnie
Here Karie is a picture of a YURT...not Linzi's just a sample of one. http://blueridgeyurts.com/
KDquilter
Okay - say a pic of Dory's Yurt - WOW - but still wondering if the panels are for the outside or the inside? If on the outside, how do you protect them from the sun and weather? They are surely too pretty to just let mother nature claim them. . .
sewlinzi
This yurt is for inside a building and the fancy panels are on the outside as walls.

ReisingStarQuilts
Thank you, all!! The credit really goes to my good friend Judy (LURKER!!) she designed the thistle. I think she did a great job. She did some research a said it is the "flower of Scotland" In history, during a war Scottish soldiers were surrounded by the enemy who tried to sneak up on them at nite and got caught in thistles. They started crying out waking up the Scots, saving the Scottish soldiers. I love the legend. That is why we picked the thistle. Is this true, Linzi or just some story we read??? Linda G. Craig
I really love the thistle and how appropriate. Gorgeous, awesome, woohoo!
sewlinzi
I have to admit that I have not heard that thistle story before but it wouldn't surprise me if you Americans have studied more Scots history than the Scots themselves! It's a good story - we should make a note of that in your panel's blurb...
