Grammie
Besides Gammill which Longarm Machines have a 20 to 24 inch quilting space. I found KenQuilt and Nolting and of course Gammill. Are there others and I've just forgotten? Thanks for your help. Old age is setting in. lololo Grammie
Neher-in-law5
The APQS George that I have has a 20 inch throat space. He is a table model. I think the Lenni and Lucey do also. But, since they are on frames I don't know how the rolled quilt takes up part of the space.
sspingler
My Nolting has a 24" space. But then, you already knew that
gable428
Nolting also goes up to 30". There is also A-1 machines.
AHuffman
The APQS Lenni has a 20" throat and is a sweet little machine on either a 10 or 12 foot table. The stitch regulator in the Lenni is the same one you'll find in the Millennium. It is an great machine!
quiltnutt
I have the Nolting 24" at home however I am working in a custom drapery shop and I have been working on the 30" Nolting on a 14' table....lots and lots of space. I really like it.
Nadia Wilson
Tammie, How about the older APQS Ultimate XX made way back when...very industrial, not many advertised...call APQS and see if they have one around. Someone on this forum was selling one a year or so ago. They had around a 30" throat so the actual quilting space must have been more than 26" I'd think. I think this type of machine would work for computerized quilting, maximizing the actual quilting space available. I can hardly wait to see what designs you have been digitizing for larger quilting spaces!
quiltmonkey
I think the Innova machines are biggies, too.
Brenni
I was just at the Lancaster Show. They had all sorts of long arm vendors. Innova has a 26" machine. Tin Lizzie has a 26" too. You might want to check vendor lists from the large quilt shows to see if there are others. Mary
Brenni
One more. Handi Quilter Fusion is 24". Mary
Brenni
One more - this is like a Cash Cab Red Light Challenge. Prodigy.
JustSewSimple
One thing to consider: There is no reason to buy a machine with an arm longer than you can reach unless it has a computer component. If you can't reach it, you can't stitch it. IMHO
Rowena
"quilting space" is different from "throat size" in that I have a Millie and the throat size is 26" but the quilting space is about 17" before I have to roll on. All machines have different configurations of rollers etc. so when manufactureres state "throat size" and not actual usable quilting area in one pass, it really is not all that helpful when comparing machines.
