The price on my pantos depends on the density of the quilting. Therefore, it makes it difficult to give an opinion. I start at .01 and go up to .02 ...so which figure do you want for the poll? Can you check more than one?

Cheryl and All,

I see that there is a range of charges. I don't know how to figure this range unless you enter what you do more of. I don't think you can enter more than one answer. Not a science just trying to gather info for us to use. I think I will print out the results at the end and use it to justify my pricing or lower it if I am over pricing my work (recent customer complaint).

I like this poll idea! Cool! I charge by the sq yard - do not LIKE to do pantos

but I think it would be about $15 per. I charge $13 per sq yd for just over-

all meanders. Rates go up to $23 or $25 for custom and lots or special

thread charges / kinds. I think I need to cahrge more for some of what I am

doing, so much ruler work takes time..... but for now, I am keeping up with

it all and doing my best. I think I have found a nitch here, because I have

not seen much for "good - well done" custom work in these parts, never

any ruler work! I love the look of tradition quilting - but it is faster to just

freehand and play too! Need to do both!

Getting very busy! Another quilt shop in town was being very nice to me at

the last guild meeting, wanting me to bring over some business cards......

hmmmm,...... it used to be just snotty little side looks! HAH! I am in

one shop, and they are very friendly!

What can you charge for a finished quilt? If you measure it by inches and say 72x100 is 7200 square inches then 5 cents would be $360. Is that a fair price for SID along with some pantos in the sashing? I tried to sell a few at the airing of the quilts in Tunkhannock but even though got lots of praise no one bought any. Going to Lancaster tomorrow to see some Amish quilts and get more ideas. Hope we can find our way around there.
