doodlebug
i'm working on this quilt and thought i'd share my lightbulb moment with you. the inner border is 1.5", so i decided to quilt pearls...looks nice, but the proportions are off and way too big for what i did in the rest of the quilt....what now??? (i don't rip) my orginal idea was to ribbon candy it with the green thread, but i realized (thank goodness) that i had a similar design in the black print that lays right next to, quilted in the same color...crap.... doodlebug
my solution: i changed to a dark grey thread and quilted oval-y pearls INSIDE the green ones! now the denisty is consistant with the rest of the quilt and the design compliments the feel of the quilt! success! and i didn't have to rip one stitch! anniemueller
Very clever. Isn't it amazing the things we can come up with when we absolutely have to? I love seeing what "mistakes" create. Thanks for sharing!
