LadyLake
Yesterday I bought a yard of fabric to make a work apron with pockets for my tools to wear while I long arm quilt. I plan to create the pattern myself, and am hoping some of you will share photos of the aprons you wear or links to patterns with pictures. Thanks! njquiltergirl
Hi Joan. That is pretty fabric. Here is the one I got a long time ago at MQX. The large panel on the bottom is divided into three pockets.

Quilting Heidi
Mine looks just like Lisa's but has pockets. I use the left pocket for thread that I clip off and the right holds my marking pens and small gadgets like screw driver.

Kueser
I found a pattern years ago for a apron much like a tool belt buy surfing the internet. Don't remember the site or even know what I did with the pattern. Needless to say, I got busy doing other things with higher priorities.
TerriVB
I use one of the retro aprons by Cindy Taylor Oats--love her patterns--I just add a pocket across the front. I like the ones that have strings the go over the sholders and criss cross in the back---that way it does go around my neck. When the strap goes around my neck it seems to pull. I tried to attach a photo of the book--hope it works--I use the one with the ruffle on the left side of the cover--just because it is fun!! and I eliminate the pocket on top--because I have enough going on there already!! Guest Linda S
I just use one that ties around my waist. The neck thingy drives me batty!
o2b Quilting
Joan: Do you have any of the aprons left from the MN shop hop a couple of years ago? They were a gold color with a few small pictures in the fabric with the names of all the MN lakes printed on it. They were sooooo long when we got them at the quilt shop that I took mine and shortened it. Took less than 10 minutes. I grabbed the fabric at the top of the pocket and brought the fold up towards the neck to a depth of the pocket. Then simply stitched down the sides those few inches, stitched two lines down to divide the fold into three pockets. The right pocket is actually a double pocket as the original apron pocket is on top of the fold. I like the full apron rather than one that ties at my waist as it helps keep the batting fuzz off the front of my shirts.
newellyn
Hi Joan, I wear an apron very much like the blue one pictured above. I get them at Harbor Freight for $1.00 each. I bought 2 when I saw them but am still wearing the first one I opened 5 years later. Can't make them for that!!
Sandra Darlington
I wear one that I bought at MQS a few years ago. It is like the blue one above, but mine is maroon.
