uncquilter
Superior Threads will be in my neck of the woods for the World Quilt Show. I want to buy quilting thread for my Liberty and prewound bobbins. What are your favorites? Thanks, Carol
newmillie2010
I absolutely LOVE the Ferrari (534); and I have used a lot of 409 and 509...great greys. Also 459 which is indescribable, but on the right fabric it takes on the color of the fabric and is magic. Have fun.
o2b Quilting
Love the SoFine plain and variegated thread for top and Bottom line prewound for bobbin (Superbobs). I find the Sofine variegated thread to be more user friendly than the King Tut and also use the Rainbows for variegated. Rainbows are beautiful but require a bit more tweaking. Have also used the Lava variegated with good results. Make sure to pick up some of the new monopoly (invisible).
Sparkle
My favorite Superior threads are "So-Fine", "Lava" and "Omni". However, I use Bobbin Centrals "Fil-Tec Magna Glide Delights" pre wounds with all my top threads.
meg
SoFine, BottomLine for bobbins (I wind my own) SoFine, Rainbows, Lava for the top
GrandmaLKB
So Fine #50, Omni, Lava, and So Fine #30 (formerly Brytes). I use the Super Bobs prewound bobbins as well as the Magna Glides from Fil Tec. My Millie does not play nice with King Tut or Rainbows............ shirleyl
I use their prewounds almost exclusively and I seem to be using alot of Lava lately. I like masterpiece for piecing. I also use so fine, rainbows, and bottom line. I will be using their metallics and some couching thread later today. Shirley
DB
King Tut love it. I think I have at least two cones in every color. I use the Super Bob's pre-wound bobbins, never thought I would but I love being able to just grab a ready made bobbin and pop it in. My bobbin winder must have an inch of dust on it. I like the look of So Fine but I have trouble with it. I think I have that in most colors as well. Some Lava, some metalics and Masterpiece for the DSM. qwltnldy
Vivian, I know this is an older post but I just noticed it. My machine didn't play nice with King Tut or Rainbows either until I loosened the tension dramatically on both bobbin and top. It works beautifully now. Try it again. GrandmaLKB
I tried about everything and still didn't have much luck with King Tut. I decided it wasn't worth the frustration and found other threads I like just as well that work fine. I sold my Kng Tut to a couple gals who have Handi Quilter machines and it works great for them. I found Lava is a good replacement for King Tut and not so linty.
