Wannabelongarm
Dancing Bear: I was on your blog and saw your thread storage -- can you provide a close up of the shelves and details - were they made by someone? Inquiring minds want to know!!! Thanks so much, and I love vintage, too!! Joanne Flamand Artistic Quilt Design
dancing bear
Mr. Dancing Bear made these for me! I'm in a hurry right now, but I did post the pictures on my blog. When I return I'll see if I can post pictures here ... anyone want to send me some easy-peasy posting instructions? Thanks!

Quilting Heidi
See it isn't that hard! I didn't even have to resize them to post them. I just saved it to my desktop and then uploaded it here. The only thing you really have to be careful of is that your file isn't bigger than a meg and there are no special characters in the name of the file. dancing bear
Mr. Dancing Bear tells me that he built this as he went along, so there's no written instructions. what I can tell you is that the shelves are slanted and he drilled holes and inserted dowels that fit into the cones of thread. One shelf is devoted to those smaller cones like Floriani and Wonderfil. I'm inserting a picture (hopefully) that shows this slanted shelf a bit better). there are no backs to my units - they actually are sitting on a shelf that runs the length of this particular part of the room, so I'm pretty sure they are attached to that unit at the bottom of each unit. Makes sense? Questions? boy, that is a crappie picture i attached ... anyway, the shelf is slanted on that wooden piece ...
