Primitive1
I have been lax about posting pics so I have decided to show one I finished recently... this one is one of my customers who helped a friend whose mom made these candlewicking blocks in the 1960's and my customer added sashings and borders and I quilted it. She was pleased with it... Quilt #211 by SewmanyquiltsSewlittletime, on Flickr a close up of one of the blocks... Quilt #211 Detail by SewmanyquiltsSewlittletime, on Flickr Thanks for looking and I hope these pictures posted...

Primitive1
Thanks everyone, she originally said she didn't want any quilting in the candlewicking blocks themselves so I avoided the blue areas but told her that they needed something to keep them from poofing out so I outlinded right along the edges of the center hearts and roses and then added simple stippling to the white areas. I did feathers in the sashings but of course you can't see it in the pictures but you can see them on the quilt itself. She said it is going to live on a quilt rack so I think those blue areas will be ok.
ffq-lar
Beautiful, Vicki! Great quilting and a thoughtful treatment which accented the hand-work. I love the ribbon ends you quilted for the bows!

CrazyAboutQuilting
Vicky, your quilting is the finishing touch to this beautiful quilt! Love your choices, they really enhance the quilt. How could your customer NOT be happy with the results? Those blocks were too beautiful not to be finished into a quilt... Primitive1
THis just makes my day, my customer just called to let me know that the lady whose mom made these blocks was presented with the quilt today and she was so pleased. She is planning to take it home to SC for Christmas to show her family. This is what makes what I do so fun!
