Dyan
My husband and I went to Panajachel, Guatemala last November for my niece's wedding. While we were there I bought this quilt from a local merchant. He told me that it is made from the leftover women's and children's collars. The material is dyed using the local plants and flowers. There was no batting in it and no quilting. So, I finally got to work with it this past couple of weeks. I took it apart, added some extra material that I had bought while I was there and added batting, then quilted it on my Lenni. I used my quiltazoid inside some of the larger collars. Now it will last for many, many years! IMG_4180 by DyanCT, on Flickr IMG_4181 by DyanCT, on Flickr
