I am telling that i have a thread mess around my sewing machine and it irratates me. Now my friend replies now" Ginny you need to do as I do". That is not the depressing answer I want to hear. I want to hear just a simple "that happens to me also sometimes" NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I get a 15 min discourse on organization. At the end confusion has set in. dlnewell Posted April 4, 2013 Report Share Posted April 4, 2013 I have wood floors in my house, the pine decking type with wide cracks, so I can't sweep because things just fall into the cracks. I keep medium size shop vac under my machine. When the threads on the floor get thick enough that I might slip when walking, I vacuum them up. I also vacuum before loading a new quilt. Seriously though, I hate having a mess too... been thinking of making a little trash bag thing I can attach to my roller bar, but just haven't had the time. When they call to complain about something, even if I think I have a solution, I will ask if they just need to vent or are looking for advice. We do the same thing in my small quilting group...it's a great place to vent among friends but we try not to give each other unsolicited advice on works in progress.
