PattyJo
This quilt is really unique in that the stars have a cathedral type opening that look like eyes. So that is why my customer named it that. I quilted an overall ferny look, DH says it could be pine boughs also, so either way, you would find ferns & pine in the forest. The outer borders have feathers and the yellow border has a simple vine in it. The 4 corners I've McT'd around the stars. A close up Another close up Thank you for looking. quiltmonkey
Really pretty, Pat! I like your background fill in the green. Speaking of green, the fabric...it looks like fairy frost. Is it?

PattyJo
Shana, yes it is fairy frost and part of the back is also fairy frost. But my Millie went thru it like Butta!!! So Fine on top and Bottom Line on the bottom. She wanted Warm and Natural for her batting, so I didn't get the detail that I really wanted in the stitching. It was a gift for her hubby, so when I asked about butterflies, she didn't think he would like that. Also the reason I didn't feather it to death!!! LOL:cool: Thanks y'all for the good words. MtnBarb
The quilt is beautiful. How strange though, that I was just thinking this morning about you'd go about quilting a cathedral windows quilt on the longarm.
