MarieBrewer
Since it is Sturgis Rally Week, here is my Sturgis t-shirt quilt. I don't know how to post all pix in one topic.
MarieBrewer
Here's another pix. On the backside of the t-shirt quilt you can see a motorcycle/rider and an eagle.
Merryjo2003
Looks great! I love doing T-shirt quilts. I have taught several classes and quilted a number of my student's quilts. They were all so different and fun. The ladies really loved making them too! Most were highschool graduation gifts for grandkids. One had T-shirts, patches, photos from about age 5 through graduation. A real sports guy. He cried when his grandma gave him his (very large) quilt as it was a real history of his life so far. Quilting Heidi
Marie, I have the same question as Bekah. If it is a panto can you tell us the name of it? I need to do a quilt for my BIL and this would be perfect!
MarieBrewer
Thanks for the compliments. The panto is by Dave Hudson and it is Motorcycle DH 786-11". There is also a border one so be sure you state which one you want. I got it from Bayside Quilting.
birgitquilts
Marie, That quilt looks way cool. I love how you framed each t-shirt section using matching bright fabric. And there couldn't be a more suitable panto to use. Great job, Birgit

ramona-quilter
Marie, what a cool quilt. I love how the sashing coordinates with the tshirt. And that is the perfect panto for this quilt. I also have to make one for my BIL. Do you or anybody else know where you can buy yardage fabric with Harley Davidson on it? I googled it and got fluff butno fabric. MarieBrewer
I don't know where you can get Harley fabric, but I did buy some Sturgis fabric to make one of those "professional totes". There is some motorcycle fabric at Walmart also. It's a little bigger print. The darn Sturgis fabric was $10.99 per yard. That's getting up there!! MarieBrewer
Renae, if you want Sturgis shirts, go to a thrift store and see if they have any. Sometimes we get a lot in our thrift store and right now after the rally they will all be .99 each. We have LOTS of 2006. Also, they are usually printed front and back so you can get two panels out of one shirt.
