sewlinzi
I went to a workshop last week on sunsets - nice bright colours. I had a photo of the view outside the Executive Inn, Paducah (you know, the scruffy one on the wrong side of the flood wall with fabulous views of the river). When I got home I discovered that I really don't enjoy DSM quilting anymore so put my journal sized quilts on Milli. The teacher's piece had hardly any stitching - very subtle... she obviously hasn't got a longarm!

Hawaii
How wonderful, Linzi! Those certainly are bright and well-stitched. What a great project for practicing different techniques on a small-scale!

sewlinzi
Thanks - they are the size of a journal quilt or A4 paper. The edge is just wool shoved up against the edge and zigzagged together! LINZI x

Pam H
Okay Linzi I've stayed at the Executive Inn plenty of times and the view is not near as pretty as your little quilts. Beautiful job. PamH
sewlinzi
Here's the original pic... I can't remember whethet it was sunset or sunrise but it was gorgeous... obviously the plastic grass on my balcony is not in view and nor is the enormous coal barge... in fact you don't get the snse of prison camp at all! Do you live in a flat? is that why the prison camp reference? You silly girl! Great job! I'm so traditional, it's hard for me to do stuff "out of the box" like that...
