sewhappy
Saw a Mechanics Rolling Stool at Costco yesterday-raises & lowers and rolls-Anyone have it? If so do you like it? I think I'll pick it up today (if you don't get it when you see it it's gone when you go back) I can return it if I don't like it but would'nt it be nice to sit for a while while quilting? Let me know what you think.

witha'K'quilting
I have a Craftsman tall stool with armrests that I like to use when sitting at my machine. It does not roll though. But works for me. Sounds like you may have found a great seat for longarming.

RitaR
The only feature I'd question not having would be tiltable seat.. the saddle stools and chairs allow us to tilt it enough to stay in, not so much we fall or slide off. Height adjustment and ring for a foot rest are pretty nifty features, too. Good Luck.. RitaR

VictoriaG
A rolling saddle stool is great if you have a flooring that will work with it. Be very clean with the threads on the floor, so they do not get caught in the wheels. That said, I love my saddle stool. vg
busybee
We do not have a Costco's here. How much are they at Costcos? I have been checking them out and how high do they go. Would like to get one that goes up higher to sit at frame. Nita
sewhappy
Nita- There were $35.00 and they went up really high! I will pickit up this weekend-Can you look at Costco on-line?
nineva
Oh my, I would not do that.I saw it last night at Costco. It is very pretty shiny stainless steel seat and does not tilt. It is flat. But, if you do not have back problems or other issues, maybe it would be fine. I cannot imagine sitting on it for extended periods of time. Just MYHO. Of course, there may be another one that I did not see, but this was on one of the end displays in the automotive section. ;);) Nancy
Bonnie
I don't have a saddle seat, and not sure I would like that anyways, but I do use a high drafting chair...its a very high swivel chair just like a desk chair, but much higher... April W
I have a tall drafting chair. Have to really hike my fanny off the ground when it's in the top position. It must be 32-34" off the floor. Has a ring and wheels but doesn't move too fast on carpet. Perfect height for Leah to sit on and watch me quilt or for frogging.
