Nettie
This was brought to me by a new quilter...her first!! It measures 120 X 138. During the piecing process, she discovered that she had mistakes and had to rip out 97 blocks with the help of her husband. I think the quilt is great but have no clue as to how to quilt it!! Especially the dark areas..... Any ideas??? She wants custom quilting and I really want to WOW her!! I appreciate any ideas!! Janette
witha'K'quilting
How about feathers in the dark chain? Looks like she did a great job on this quilt. It is beautiful. My kind of quilt!
Hollyrw
I see terry twists in the colored squares and feathered wreaths in the white areas with the stars in the middle.
IBQLTN2
what a wonderful job she did as her first quilt and so large too. It looks like she will be a professional right from the start. feathered wreaths in the white would look great.

nora123
Janette, what about crosshatching the chains. I just did one using Linda's crosshatch rulers and it really made the quilt look beautiful. Just my two cents. sewlinzi
Good grief - it's enormous - what a feat for a first quilt! Some type of CC and feather combo would be good...
Nettie
Thanks for all the ideas...actually I only have a 12 foot table and the backing is too wide for my zippers so am going to have to trim the backing down. It will be a challenge but worth the paycheck in the end!! I think feathers in the white area is a great idea once I figure out to go around the stars..........the dark areas....if I use feathers I am not sure how to keep the flow going as the chains cross....lots to think about!!!
