Tracy G
At long last. I took this off the frame yesterday. Just got a few ends to bury then it will be on with the binding. There wasn't a throw to match the bedding when I bought it so I bought an extra duvet cover (100% cotton) and made one.
PattyJo
Excellent idea about the duvet cover morfing into a quilt. I'm going to keep that one in the back of my head. And it turned out beautiful too!
Tracy G
Haven't worked out how to post an actual picture. You will also be able to see other quilts that I have waiting to be quilted except for the bright grandmothers fan as I am in the process of hand quilting that. I can only work on it in the summer!!! It might be finished this year Tracy G
witha'K'quilting
You used the Fossil pattern by Patricia Ritter. Yay! I love that design. Looks great on everything. So much texture. The quilt looks great!

KathG
Hi Tracy Love your frogged quilt Really nice and cheery. Also love the Fossil quilting. It looks even better once it is quilted up. I must get my finger out and get some quilt tops done so I can use mine. Great idea to use a duvet cover for the quilt. Make me wonder if we could use them for backing as we can pick up some bargain for quilt covers in the UK. I like using the extra wide quilt backing but find them very expensive here in the UK and very limited in choice.

Sandra Darlington
Using a duvet cover is a great idea and your quilting looks terrific, too. You can also quilt up matching sheets. I did that for my two pre-school aged grandchildren and they wash up so well!
KathG
Hi Sandra please Can you explain a little more about quilting up sheets.
Bonnie
That really did turn out great... I also haven't had any major trouble with Bed linens/sheets and have done several for sisters who are the have to match everything in the room gals.... KathG
I must have had a senior moment. For some reason I was thinking Sandra was making quilted sheets, not using sheets to make a quilt. Right back to making dinner.
