Cheri-Artzgirl
This one just isn't talking to me! My customer is new to quilting so we feel a panto is the best way to go with this one. Help!!
marley
What about a rough outline around the stars and just meander or loop the loop to get from one star to the next.
delld
How about "Thisle" by Patricia Ritter at Urbanelementz.com. It's a great pattern!
ffq-lar
Do you have a favorite edge-to-edge design? My concern would be that the seams look a little bulky--looks like some heavier fabric--maybe some homespun? Anyway, I think you may need something denser than a panto will provide. Plus, quilting up front will help you control design placement--avoiding the seam lntersections, etc. I think close-together loopies about the size of a quarter would look fine on this. The top looks great--wonderful effort for a new quilter!
Zora
I like the Thistle panto suggested. With the stars being so off-kilter, it would be hard to do an outline of them. If you have pattern boards, a swirl design would look nice, too, or Baptist fans.
sewlinzi
It would look great with all over swirls like those big CL ones...
LinneaMarie
Swirls or Baptist Fans!!
RitaR
I can see a loopy meander with a freehand star every 2 or 3 loops, and the loops one per side to the star, then one per side again. Very pretty, will look very prettier when you've quilted it.
Merryjo2003
My vote is for Baptist Fans or Swirls! Kinda looks old fashion.
RoseCity Quilter
I like the Baptist Fan idea!
Quilting Heidi
My first thought when I saw this was either Baptist Fan or clamshell. I like Linda's idea as well. You might just want to do a loop and go around the stars with a wavy design so that the stars really pop and don't get lost.
