I am so afraid of making mistake with the outline and SID that I try really hard to match, then of course have to use thinner tread for that dense back ground filler. I try to match the fabric on the applique for detailing I add in those spots. I'm certainly not sure this is the correct way to approach it or not, I have never read anything explaining the accepted or correct way to quilt these, or even if there a "correct way". I spend a lot of time changing threads that is certain!! Dustee; (Does your customer hand or machine applique?)this customer machine blanket stitched around every element, she is very precise!
