lindasewsit
I am going to attempt to post 2 pics..(same thing, just one looks a little better than other) ... Do you think I should leave this as it is or do the micro scribbling to make it pop more? That was my first intention, but I kind of like this look too. Not sure what I am going to do, but would love some input from others. thanks!
JustSewSimple
It is tight on the frame right now. What happens when you remove it and it gives some? Will it pop then? I don't know, just something to think about. You did a good job with those letters!
Quilting Heidi
Linda it looks like it shows really well but micro scribbling will ensure it shows. Like Sylvia said off the frame it may look differently. you did a really nice job on those letters.
lindasewsit
Thanks, ladies! I didn't really think about what it would look like off the frame and not taut. Think I will "scribble" it! Thanks!

Busy Quilting
Scribble the background with a smaller fill than the width of the letters.
apylinski
Looks good to me but then I think scribbling would make it better. Ok since I'm a newbie how do you do letters?? I love that idea.
chrisquilter
What is scribbling? Did I miss something new? Thanks!
Quilting Heidi
Chris scribbling is just going whatever way you want without worrying about crossing or anything like that, in fact the more you chriss cross the better. It really packs down the background good.
chrisquilter
Roflmao! I thought crossing over threads was against the law! I don't know if I could even do it without feeling guilty!
lindasewsit
Ann, I just had to graph out the letters. I wanted them to look like the letters that the college uses for it's name. I used just a folder (which is somewhat heavier weight) to make a template of the letters and traced them onto the fabric. I used my ruler to stitch them .
