Enchanted Quilting
I am having the 'opportunity' of frogging a full size quilt. What are some tried and true methods you've used to get the itty bitty threads that are left behind? Thanks in advance for any tips you may have. delld
Use a lint roller!!!!
lnieland
I go over the fabric lightly with a silicone plate/bowl scraper. Actually, I think I learned about using it on this forum, but I don't remember who originally shared it. It's amazing how easily those little bits come out, but it has to be a silicone scraper, not a plastic one.
mswings
There is a new seam ripper that has a rubber tip that removes threads easily by rubbing over the area frogged. (Ask me how I know)
ffq-lar
A large block-style eraser is my thread-picker-upper of choice. I'm sure the silicon scraper works the same.
jbnt9999
Since I can never find the lint roller I use masking tape wrapped around my fingers. I like the silicone scraper idea. Will try it.

Liam
I use a soft horse brush in one hand and the handy vac in the other.

Enchanted Quilting
I'm glad I asked this question....pretty sure I wasn't expecting to see fans of toilet bowl brushes....new of course! When I took a class from Deloa, Jessica was using something like a yellow scrubbie. Don't know what it is called, but it picked up those left behind threads. RitaR
I too use the new seam ripper to get the threads out of the fabric, one side or the other works so well !! Then I use it to make the tiny threads into a pile and just pick it up and discard. So quick and easy. It has a sticker on it that says " seam-fix " This was in the raffle basket that Roland won in January. Rita
dlnewell
I have a clean yellow playtex rubber glove I use. Work it in a circular motion and it pulls out those little bits of thread.
