catsigler
This is Stars and Clouds, likely the easiest panto ever, so for me a great one to start with. This is a charity quilt made by a small group in my guild last July. A busy design so the panto doesn't show up much, even in the closeups (I'll send that pic in the next post). The back is busier still. I see why people like to do pantos, though. And watching Myrna's video gave me the confidence to do one by letting me know it's OKAY if you aren't always exactly on the line. Thanks Myrna! It was fun to do, and the more I relaxed, the closer to the line I stayed. And I LOVE my new Edgeriders.

Cheryll
Nice job it looks great on the quilt. I think they will love it. Cheryll
mrsbishwit
Looks great! Yup Pantos aren't that hard to do, it's when people obsess over keeping the laser dot exactly on the line that makes things harder than it actually needs to be. Just remember the lines on the pantogragh are just guidelines they aren't their to drive you crazy.
Judymae
Very nice job and the colors are so pretty. Judymae
Beverly
Do you know who makes that panto? By the way your stars are great. I think they are difficult to do because of the straight lines. I am still practicing. Nice job. Beverly
catsigler
Believe me they are NOT difficult! Stars & Clouds SM is from Timeless Quilting Designs, Irene Steel is the designer, and Willowleaf Studios is the distributor. While I'm on the subject of pantos, http://www.heartbeatquilting.com/patternsroll.html has good prices on roll patterns. I don't see this one but they have others. Maybe they would order it. PattyJo
You did yourself proud Cathey. It's hard to tell that it was your first panto. As Joann said, the lines are only a suggestion. And an easy, relaxed touch. Great job and I love the quilt.
quiltmonkey
Cathey, your quilting is beautiful! The design shows up just perfect on the fabric and really accentuates it nicely. Great job! You are rocking and rolling with your snazzy new wheels!

Charlene
Cathy, You did a great job. No one would ever know that this was your first panto. Your stars and points turned out great. You really nailed it down. Char
Justahelper
This is Stars and Clouds, likely the easiest panto ever, so for me a great one to start with. As has been mentioned several times, stars are not always that easy. getting those points AND following with straight lines is very tricky. You nailed it! Clearly a quilt you can be very proud of. I'm really glad that Myrna's video was a great help to you.
jmyhogan
As Norece said lhis panto is a "perfect match" for this quilt. Beautiful. Is the quilting of wool much different from doing cotton or poly?

dancingstitcher
Very pretty Cathey. Congratulations! The pattern looks great on that fabric. Saw your two quilts in the Cottonwood Quilt Show yesterday and voted for you. Hope you get a ribbon or two. It's great that you finished both of them and they are so spectacular.
