Connie p/s if the attachment doesn't show up this time, could someone give me a clue why it doesn't show up? I attached it at the bottom of the posting page. Neher-in-law5
That is the same pattern that I made for my daughter's graduation. It is a fun one, just takes some thinking everything through before cutting, then keeping it in order. Good work on this one.
Sandra Darlington
Constance, Hi and what a beautiful quilt. I like the blouse, too, and it looks like you coordinated your colors with the quilt for the photo. Sandy
kimmiequilts
Constance that is one awesome Dahlia quilt, I love how dimensional it is and your color choices are terrific!
Neher-in-law5
Here is the one that I did, it is from the Bella Bella Quilts book based on Italian mosaic floors. I sid in every other vane seam and in the others I quilted alternating half hearts like Sally Terry shows in Pathways to Machine Quilting Book. The triangles in the corners I did swirl ribbons from the same center starting point. The center has an @ (at) flower. The circle borders around had the half hearts or some feathers in them. Neher-in-law5
I can try to get closer pictures of the quilting if you want to see them. Right now I have the quilt here instead of her having it in the college dorm. I hope to show it at the local fair this summer.

PattyJo
Both of those quilts are awesome. Maybe one day, I'll try to tackle one that would challenge me like these would.
IBQLTN2
CONSTANCE What a beautiful quilt and great choice of colors. Is the background to the dahlia a Michael Millers fairy frost fabric. It kind of looks like it. those shiny fairy frost fabrics just make quilts glow. So have you decide how you are going to quilt it yet. Would love to see pictures of how you do it and also closer up pics of the red and blue one also. Both are absolutely lovely. Constance Kelsey
Hello Ladies, The center, rondels and coordinating stripes are Peggy Toole for Robert Kaufman "Florentine". The only fairy frost is the green that is in the 4 corners of circle area. Sadly, its not available anymore (it always takes me so long to find the right quilt for the fabric. This Bella Bella quilt is the Venice Rose and I'll have to say it is very very time consuming and wastes a lot of fabric (which broke my heart since I am not an appliquer). I am afraid SID or SND may be the only thing I can do with the zillion of blue and green bands. I have thought of tiny stipple in the off white area to 'pop' the bands but very unsure of this method and unstitching micro stippling would be a disaster. I'd rather be quilting, not picking. I'll post again when it is quilted. Hugs, Connie
Constance Kelsey
Patti Jo, Yes, this quilt is likely to challenge you...at least it did my sister and I. But what else better to do on a dreary spring, fall, winter or summer day in Oregon?! ha ha ha (ex-Seattleite). Connie

Be aware that I'm not a pro and don't do customer quilting, but really liked the quilt when it was done.

Myrna Ficken
Connie, When you are doing tiny stippling you are better off turning your SR off and finding a speed that is comfortable for you in manual. It is much smoother that way. Very pretty quilt.
