Custom FINALLY finished! (beth L. for you)

Recommended Posts

After working for three weeks on my Kaleidoscope and doing the little freehand that I did, I can now appreciate what you gals do with quilts like this. To do one design repeatedly is great practice, but it's that repetitive motion that trains the muscles to make the design consistent over and over again. It is possible to make them identical, but it's also charming when a little individualism takes over and gives it that one-of-a-kind look.

Shannon, keep up the great work, and may you forever love what you do.

thanks gals/guys! i was asked if i wanted to quilt it and i was like "uh....heck yeah!" i knew that i was going to feather it to death.

ok answers to ?s:

to Deb with QuiltArt- it's the same color, a med gray except one border which i used a teal and it's all freehand.

Judi O. (and Kristinia) i drew out the way i quilted it. i finally got the nerve to try a feather design i've been pondering. its completely continious. no backtracking, both sides of the 'spine' at once. great for borders

And OF COURSE i remember you mrs. sloan *wave from GA*

still working on my wallhanging....*sigh* one of these days...

how have you enjoyed the 2 million+ guests in your neck of the woods?
