sewlinzi
Why do people with blogs have to put on tempting pictures? This Hello Kitty machine was on the www.quiltville.com blog and I think it's very sweet. I have been searching all day and they are not available in Europe. They were in Target USA but are now out of stock (I realise I will have to get some sort of step down transformer). Do I need it? NO but do I want it? YES! Bonnie
Sorry Linzi...I called a Target store and had them pull up the regional stores in our area and ALL of them are out of stock right now....it does look like they will be getting them back in stock, but they couldn't tell me how soon. If you would like I can keep checking back with them from time to time and see if we can get one located.... HOWEVER I did see one on Ebay....it still has 21 hours left on the bidding, but it might go for more than its worth....
DebFigved
Check out http://hellokittykat.com/Store/Janome-Hello-Kitty-Sewing-Machine There's an auction on these cute little machines. How adorable!!
quiltmonkey
Looks like Janome makes it. It retails at Target for $49.99. Here is the one that came up on ebay (thanks Bonnie) http://cgi.ebay.com/Janome-Hello-Kitty-Beginners-Sewing-Machine_W0QQitemZ250375452241QQihZ015QQcategoryZ3118QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Dib
Our Hancocks had them once. They may still have them.
Bonnie
In further looking at the one on EBAY it DOES NOT WORK...and will cost more to fix than to buy a new one if we can find you one.

nora123
Hello Linzi, there are three listed on ebay at this time. Type in janome hello kitty sewing machine. Whenever I need something I cannot find I always look there. Cheers, Nora Millennium Washougal WA
ladydi
I purchased this machine in June of 08 for my 2 granddaughters to learn to sew with, the dealer said then that it was being discontinued. I hope you have luck finding one. Diane
sewlinzi
Thanks for looking everyone - shame they have been discontinued as they look fun. Apparently they only weigh 4.5lb and actually sew 17 stitches quite well. Trouble with ebay for this is that they sell for more than the RRP! smorris
Hi Linzi What about buying one of Janome's other tiny machines and prettying it up with stickers. I've seen a machine covered in flower and heart stickers, it looked fun to use. sue in australia
Mrs.A
Linzi...I have a friend who might be persuaded to sell hers...I'll check.
kimmiequilts
Linzi, the Hello Kitty machine is actually the same as the Janome JEM Gold, I have one and love it for classes. I've taken on the plane with me to MQX and worked on a quilt in my room at night. It's so easy to use!
TracyeQ
I actually asked for one of these for Christmas year before last, I wanted it so bad. Instead DH bought me a Featherweight I'd stopped asking for years ago. Go figure. I can't complain, but the Hello Kitty would have been soo cute. I might even have let the kids sew on IT. sewlinzi
Here's the thing... I did have a Jem Platinum for my daughter but she won a Brother so we sold it because a 10 year old probably doesn't need 2! We could put stickers on but the Hello Kitty is SO CUTE! Target was actually selling them for a mere $49!! My smaller daughter would love this machine - she is 5 and so far has made a dolly quilt and a bedside table mat. If anyone does come across one, do let me know! LINZI
SandraG
Linzi, I have a friend who is a Janome rep. I can check with him if you want me to. Let me know. Sandra
sewlinzi
Sandra - I'd love you to find out if any janome reps still have one stashed away. Thanks for asking for me! LINZI
Dutchman
Linzi Rijkers Naaimachines will be at OEQS end of March. I have seen a special machine from Janome for kids in their store, it's called "sew mini". We can ask if they will bring one so you can see it. Let me know Regards
Dutchman
I found the "specs" of the Janome "sew mini" on the internet sew mini.pdf
sewlinzi
Thanks Theo. I had a look at the sewmini which would probably be handy for classes at just 5lb BUT it's not green or quite so cute!! LINZI
Hawaii
Linzi, I have two of these little "cuties" (bought off EBAY). I would be willing to let go of one, for cost plus freight - but I am afraid that the freight costs from Hawaii to where you are would be exhorbitant!!! The other thing is, I've test driven these little babies and it seems like the tension is not quite right and I am not sure how to adjust it. You could plan a vacation????????? MarieBrewer
Try www.american-sewing.com Ask for hello kitty sewing machine. When I looked at target, it was a battery operated machine and it was pink.
