kennan100
That's sooo cute! I see chains of bubbles going up the sides, too. I had to look again to see it, thinks bubble chains when you look at it.
laurashogren
Nice Feathers, Don't you just love those Edgerider wheels, they are a pain to put on, but really worth it. Thanks for sharing. Laura

jmyhogan
Cleaver and Beautiful quilting. Excellent job. Would that I could do feathers like those. Were the Ducks applique or embroidered?
quiltlover03
Hello Jim, thanks for the compliment. The Ducks are appliqued embroidery, a technique where the shape is outlined, then the fabric is placed in the outline, then that is stitched in place, trimmed and then filled with the embroidery stitches. LME
I see the Terry Twist in the yellow centers too? Very nice work Monika....it really fits the quilt. Now, can someone tell me why the edgerider wheels are a pain to install? I'd love the ease of movement Monika is describing. I yearn for consistent round shapes. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I too love to see what different people come up with for each quilt. LeAnn
Toni123
Your feathers are awesome. I hope to be there one day. As to date, I have the right brain and left brain problem when doing feathers.
quiltlover03
Tony 123 Thank you so much. I am getting there,. but have a long way to go yet. i love Sally Terry's Hooked on Feathers, they are soft, flowing, playful and very very forgiving. I can make them tight , loose, big, small, whatever and have nice results. i did find it very very useful to use a spine tool and draw thew spine so I have a line to follow. If I could recommend one feather method to start out with it would be that. I have tried Sharon Schamber, Darlene Epp, and I think one other, but this one works for me. Sunimp
Monica, that quilt is adorable and you did a great job on the quilting. Did you make the top too? Are the ducks appliqued or embroidered? Any idea where the designs came from? Can you tell I really like this!!!!
quiltlover03
Hi Irene, thanks for the compliment. it is a Customer Quilt I just quilted for her. The ducks are appliqued and embroidered and no I have no idea about the pattern. I guess one can buy the embroidery designs on sites like emblibrary.com that is where I get most of mine from, when I have time to embroider. Good luck
Chocoholic
That is such a cute quilt. And I love your quilting. Wonder what fabric the ducks are?
quiltlover03
Sheila, the ducks are a white fleecy type fabric, just gorgeous. My customer is a beginning Quilter and made 4 baby Quilts to start out and said the Duckie one is for a Grandchild somewhere in the future.
