Helen G
Good job, that is a striking quilt! Sometimes I think we need to get out of the box more often and flex our creative skills! Beautiful quilt and the colors work so well together.
Judi
Bobbi - I think it looks great! I was wondering at first if that was a metalic thread??? Grey you say?? Love the rolling feathers - perfect choice! Seams like a pattern idea I would love to try!! Do you know the name of it?
Mary Beth
Bobbi, Love it, love it!! I am going to try those borders...only not applique - ick! I have seen a ruler used that helps you cut the exact right size block for the drunkards path and you can cut several different sizes. This one goes to my inspiration file!! Thank you !!! gable428
Bobbi, I love it. Beautiful colors. I would be too scared to piece the circles. I would take the easy way out and applique the circles onto a square! You are too awesome, lady.
bobbi
Thanks you guys... MB and Judi, the pattern is from my little blond head... You applique the circles onto the squares, and then cut them into 4 pieces to make the drunkards path... I chose to just keep them as circles and set them 7 x 7. Then I made the CW looking ones and bordered the center. The CW ones are black circles on white squares. When cut apart and re sewn, that's what they look like. Clear as mud? It really is easy. I also used a 1" strip between each block (finished = 1/2") That's what made the hard to quilt intersections. Try it - you'll like it! You can get the instructions from "A Piece in Time Quilt Shop" in Akron, OH. If you google it - they should come up... if not, I'll look it up for you...
