Hitomi
Someone help me, I am having one of those days that NOTHING goes right. I did a real suppid thing. I was cleaning my machine and took off the needle plate, cleaned it out and then put it back on with the washers between. I didn't take notice that I put the plate on backwards and the needle hole didn't match up. I loaded a small quilt and press the button to bring the needle down. Well, it got stuck and broke the needle. Duh! So I changed the needle and changed the plate so the hole matched up, but now the machine doesn't turn on at all. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but still the machine is DEAD. What do I do now? Anyone had this problem?
quiltmonkey
You probably blew a fuse. Easy fix! You have a spare fuse inside the machine. Look in your manual where the spare is kept.
Joyce
Did you check your fuse?
lisae
Hitomi, I have done that very same thing on my previous machine. Sounds like you blew a fuse. No worries, the manual shows you exactly how to replace it. The hardest part is getting the little fuse "door" open!
delld
Hitomi! I did the same trick too! Blew the fuse!!!!!
seakitten
Yep; I've done that too. There is a spare fuse in the back (check your manual for where). Take the old fuse with you when you go down to Radio Shack to replace it. They have them, but they are an uncommon size, so some of their employees will pick out the wrong one. Neher-in-law5
When you go to get more fuses to have on hand, be sure that they are SLOW BLOW fuses.
