Judi
Oh My! Well that there is a mighty fine ...a hat he has! Nice quilt, wouldn't mind having that one on my machine either! Have fun and let us know how he does! Save a horse... ride a Cowboy! Seriously though, I do like that red and white fabic..... is that ropes on there? I am gathering red/white and black/white fabrics for my man. Biker type, but ropes would work too! Do you happen to know the brand name of that fabic collection? chickenscratch
Tammie, When I first saw the topic I thought you had written a country song. That is one hunky cowboy. I would try a meandering rope design over the whole thing and I've got the cutest stencil of cowboy boots that would work in the brown border. I got it at Hobby Lobby. It is called "Boot-scootin border" and it is by STansource int'l INC. The tag on it says #MA 1001. THat may be a stock number if you wanted to try to order it. quiltaholi_518
Ah, yes. I am reminded of the ol' Chipendale Cowboys. Or does anybody remember Playgirl??? Hey, is it hot in here, or am I glowing??? LOLOL
FrammaJoy
I agree: An all-over lasso design would be nice. I'll have to check out the boots at Hobby Lobby. They sound cute. I love western themes, and who doesn't love those cowboys? Hugs, Joy
mountainmanda
I carry the horse print in my store, it is a Timeless Treasures print, absolutely beautiful up close and in person. As for those cowboys, I grew up in Texas and don't quite remember them looking like that!
quiltjunkie
Cute quilt but it looks like Brokeback Mountain cowboys to me..but I'm a little jadded since I live in Palm Springs or as I refer to it..San Francisco South if you get my drift!! Lots of men here but no marriage material!!
MaHubs
I would use a combination of ropes, boots, cactus, and hats. I would have considered horses and/or wagon wheels, but I don't think it should be too busy. Just enough to accentuate the designs already there. Bekah
I grew up with cowboys, and believe me they DID NOT look like that except on the covers of romance novels my mom read. I think the boots and ropes would be just right. just a newbie's opinion

v-starlady
Being from the Heart of Texas - Austin - I just HAVE to weigh in here. There is only one thing that a Cowboy likes better than his boots and hat . . . that's his pick-up truck! I dooooooo love this quilt. Where do we find the fabric. By the way (this is a cowboy joke) - do you guys want to why Texas men like their women to wear leather pants? Uh, uh . . . do ya, do ya, do ya? LOL
Mary Beth
This is sad....we are all going gaga over this printed cowboy on fabric. What is wrong with us are we spending too much time with our quilting machines??
Grammie
I wasn't expecting the responses I got but thanks everyone. The funny thing is it is a sweet old lady who did the quilt and I was tickled by her.
lisae
Oh, how funny, Grammie! One of the members of my quilting group (The Quiltbags) just challenged us with this fabric. I chose the cowboy with his arms crossed over his chest and the red pickup in the background. I am going to have some fun with him!!!
