Quilting Heidi
Is she ever going to lay on that egg? LOL I keep watching and I see that she is fluffing the nest but I haven't seen her lay on it to keep it warm. Maybe Storks don't do that.
srichardson
Here is a link to an owl nest. I hadn't checked in for a few days and I can't believe how much they have grown. They actually look like owls now instead of fuzz balls. A word of warning, when the parents deliver a rodent snack it can get a little gruesome! There is more action after dark when the parents go hunting. It does take a little while for the video to load and it is live just click on the arrow once the video has loaded. marycontrary
The first egg of the Decorah Eagles (see my earlier post) is due to hatch sometime between now and Sunday. Also, this PBS special features this nest -- really interesting! http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/american-eagle/video-full-episode/4349/
victoriasews
Are these eggs ever going to hatch? It's been over a month since they were laid.
Joyce
The stork has 5 eggs, if your luck sometimes in the morning she can be seen turning the eggs.
dancingraisin
Are there 5 for sure? Sometimes it looks like there might be 6. BTW, at the end of the day, you can click through all the photos for the past 24 hours at half-hour intervals. it increases your chance of seeing the eggs, with or without a stork turning them. Does anybody know if both parents are taking turns sitting and turning? The storks sometimes look a little different to me bu I'm not sure tha it's not just the photo angle and how they are holding their wings. (I'm really into this. Can you tell? haha)
Joyce
I have to check three or four times a day. So guess that I'm really into it too.
