quiltaholi_518
This is a vintage 1975 quilt, complete with polys and poly cotton blends. I had to avoid the "Sues" as they are a heavy poly, almost a double knit. This lady has 10 tops from her deceased Aunt, and this was the best of the bunch. BTW, she washed and DRIED (by machine) all the tops before calling me ( eeeks!)
PattyJo
Good job Caron. I love that pattern and I know what you mean about avoiding the bullet proof poly - I have a king size quilt that my aunt made from all double knit:o! I love the feathers in the sashing and the echo quilting. A good remedy for this quilt to be made into a family treasure.
Mary Beth
Great job, even though it was eeks:mad: Thinking back, my ex-husband got custody of a double knit Lone Star - can you imagine?? You did a great job.
Bekah
Wow, Caron, I love that feathering. Great job!!!!! How long did it take you to learn how to do that? Good inspiration for how to quilt Sue's. The echoing is just right.

PRINCESSTUCK
How beautiful!!! I love all of it. I just purchased 21 blocks from a quilt guild that someone had donated and Mother wanted them so I gave them to her tonight. You could tell that they are old and no telling how old the lady that did them was. I can't wait to see what Mom does and then i will quilt it for us. Thanks for giving me some ideas and maybe I will have my machine and frame by then. Thanks for sharing!!!

Judi
Excellent! What you did with that quilt is beautiful! Maybe it is a good thing she washed them, I like the ones that smell like the cedar chest, but NOT dirty quilts....... who knows..... maybe her aunt had more than a herd of critters in her house and they needed washing! LOL!
