Hawaii
I don't know too much about double batts, but dream puff is polyester. Very soft and puffy, and quilting is well-defined with this batt.
JustSewSimple
Dream Puff is a poly. It is very thick! If you use puff you won't need a double batt.
Schlick
Dream Puff is kind of a fooler. Straight out of the package it doesn't look like anything special. I tossed it in the dryer with a damp towel to fluff it up. I opened the dryer, pulled out the batting and it had increased in thickness at least twice. It is soft and has nice drape, but it's kinda reminded me of big hair Renee'
Gail O
QD cotton (Select, I think) and QD Wool - cotton on the bottom g
ThreadWaggle
Shannon, When I double batt, I use cotton (Dream Cotton Select) or 80/20 on the bottom and layer wool on top. But then most of my customer don't want any poly in or used on their quilts. However I would use Dream Puff as a top layer if I could get the customer's OK. I actually prefer 80/20 on bottom because it does not have the stretch that Dream cotton does and I personally think the quilts hang better. I will be driving through ATL in a couple of weeks, I will give a big wave in your direction! Boy, do I wish my dogs count for HOV...
sewlinzi
Use a cotton on bottom to hold everything still then dream puff on top for pouff... Wool is lovely though!
Quilting Heidi
My favorite is poly dream select or supreme with Wool or dream puff on top. Yes dream puff is poly and will give you lots of definition. I'd probably go thinner for the dream poly if using puff. Using the dream poly really makes your quilts hang nicely. MastiffMomQlt
I've used heirloom 80/20 w dream puff on top. It gives great stability & a lot of defination. Love the effect. Wool is very nice over 80/20 also
