chatty94
I am fairly new to this forum....and I haven't seen this addressed, maybe I should know this but I don't.....so here I am asking... Are you all using your stitch regulator or doing all of this beautiful stitching in Manuel mode? Specifically when using rulers/templates or Quiltazoid/Circle Lord..... And....do you use an extended base when using your Quiltazoid/Circe Lord?
shirleyl
I have found that their is certain things I don't use stitch regulator for, but for the most part I do use it. It is a personal preference. I do use it for rulers and templates as well as pantographs and the Quiltazoid. I only use the extended base when I am using rulers or microdrive handles. That is how I do it. Hope this helps. Shirley
gypsyquilter
I use stitch regulator all the time, and I don't use an extended base,
LynnQuilts
I use my stitch regulator all the time for rulers and for my Quiltazoid. The only time I don't use it is when I'm doing small fill, like stippling, etc. I always use it for everything else.
delld
I use the SR about 99% of the time. Manual for very tiny fills!!!
Dustee
I am pretty much like the rest of the girls. I use my SR for everything other than fills.
meg
i also rarely turn off the SR. but, i leave my extended base on almost all the time....just remove it for thorough cleanings. i have donita reeve's version, and i find it never gets in the way. Sandra Darlington
I use my SR most of the time. I usually leave my Ruler Mate (Donita Reeves) on my Liberty.
Primitive1
Me too - 99% of the time because I am using rulers alot and need the control.
Quilting Heidi
I almost always use the SR. It is liberating when I can just freehand without it though.
Guest Linda S
I use it most of the time. Background fill is much easier to do without it though.
elkayr
chatty, thanks for asking this question...i will definitely look into the donita reeves baseplate. i have the hartley baseplate & don't keep it on all the time, because it gets in the way. oh, & i always use the sr. meg_marsh
Use my SR most of the time but for small fills, I turn it off. I also keep my base plate on (Donita Reeves) -doesn't get in the way. Do take it off for a big clean.
CrazyAboutQuilting
I have the Hartley extended plate that I use whenever I use rulers or the microdrive handles. Otherwise I take it off, partly because it is sometimes in the way and also because it adds weight. I do most of my background fills in manual mode and depending on what edge to edge I'm doing, I sometimes do those in manual mode too. But for all ruler work and for pantographs, I always use my SR.
