sewhappy
I made this quilt for my wonderful DH. Can you guess what he does for a living? Hope the photo comes through this time. Ignore the white splotches - it's from the camera.

quiltingtina
How funny! I like it. How did you make it? Applique the white? Glad you finally got your photo posted. I have been watching your frustration over it. I haven't tried posting any photos yet. It seems like every day some one is having trouble with photos. chickenscratch
Love it! Too funny. My husband works at Tractor Supply, works at a factory, and breeds and sells show chickens. So, the only quilts he's gotten so far have had chickens on them. I'll bet your hubby was smiling behind that quilt he was holding. Great job. And, great job with your picture. It's just the right size. I know you were getting really frustrated. Glad it worked out for you.

quiltmonkey
Oh that is the perfect "guy" quilt. ROTFLOL! Simple, original, basic...and no frills...just like a guy... Shana
Patch
Is he a trash collector? But no, you didn't put a trash can silhouette in there...... a dancer? Rock climber seems right, Norece, though crime detective was my first guess. I think he's dancing or hoisting a garbage can, and those are my guesses. Congrats to you for persevering so you can continue being Sewhappy! Patty
Bonnie
Now I think you are all wrong...he just HAS to be a firefighter....why else would he be crawling on the floor.
gable428
No, no, no. He's an aerobic instructor doing step-aerobics!! Gable
Katydids
My guess would be a homicide detective. Looks to me like the chalk line they put around a body. Sorry if this is gruesome, I guess I have seen too many CSI episodes. :P Patty
dancingstitcher
My first guess is homicide detective but on a more cheery note, perhaps he makes licorice candy or gummy guys. If he is a detective, then it's a good thing he has a happy person to greet him at home. Vicki
ramona-quilter
I used my own detective skills to determine that the name of the photo is "murder-she-sewed". So my guess is a homicide detective. Your DH is Columbo?
GERRY
Hay Sewhappy: Did you make him lay down on the fabric & draw a chalk line around him.. so you could get the size just right
shadows4
Do you have any closer pictures? This is a fun quilt!! At least for us it is. My first guess is a football player, but my next is a homicide detective, or a crash test dummy whose seatbelt failed.
kennan100
Jumping in here: Wallpaper hanger, Chippindale's dancer, Spiderman...nope! He's gotta be with the police, coroner's office, forensic's something like that. ( although Spiderman would fit that, yeah?)
chickenscratch
No, wait. I've got it. A cheerleader. See the raised arms and the hopping foot.
Katydids
If he is not a homicide detective, then how about a traffic cop or crossing guard? OK, sewhappy.... how long is this going to go on before you give the answer??????? Inquiring minds want to know! Patty
sewhappy
I had a lot of fun with the "Murder She Sewed" quilt. DH brings home the evedence van on occasion and I noticed that he has a cot but no blanket or anything to cover up with and sometimes he is out on a scene for 2-3 days depending on what, where, & how much evidence there is(it is not solved in a 1 hour segment like on T.V.). So I decided to make him a quilt and had him lay down for me and used chalk to outline him - Then I appliqued white thick ribbon to the out line-large stipple outside the body and small stipple inside the body. The officers know where to return the quilt if they ever borrow it. We have had a lot laughs with it I even took it to Show & Tell at guild and once the laughter died down (sorry about the choice of words) it got rave reviews. Katydids
Yeah, Thats what I thought! That is too cool! Great job. I agree, Linda (in Ramona) has a great sense of humor (with the Murder she sewed) theory! Patty
Patch
Me too. Congrats on a GRRRREAT conversation piece, not to mention sweet warmy for your hubby. You'll have to steal it back and show it at the next show in town, eh? Might win an award for innovation, I should think. Patch (I see there are just too many Patty's in the world for me to go around without my nicknames on.
