Bonnie H
Teresa, I didn't like it with the bigger border you had on it, but didn't have any advice. But I gotta say, I LOVE IT now!!!!! It's awesome!!!!

LisaC
Looks great! The big braids did over power it. Your spikes are long and thin and the braid strips so wide that they caught your eye first. Boy, you did great, I love it.
chickenscratch
Thanks everybody. Tomorrow I will press it and then start quilting it (hopefully). My poor Lenni hasn't been plugged in for over a week because of all these severe thunderstorms.

RitaR
Hoping for a pict of that beauty when it is finished, or at least to the end of the quilting, or first seam on the binding. Rita
LibbyG
I've been busy with church activities, so I was just now able to read this entire post in one sitting. It's really gorgeous ,Teresa. As I read the different posts, I thought, yes, it's too big, no that grey border isn't big enough, etc. Finally, I get to the finished quilt and it's stunning. Isn't it great when you can design with friends!
Colette
Ditto what LibbyG said, I loved reading the group's input and seeing the very pretty result. It's just lovely, Teresa!
chickenscratch
The first picture shows the SID in the colored border. How bad does it look? Honestly.. I can't SID worth a hoot. The second picture shows the feather design in the corner. Does it need stippling behind it or not? (sorry the purple marker hasn't faded yet)https://www.flickr.com/photos/jtconcessions/14227117838/
dbams
I am definitely no expert, but I don't think the SID looks bad. Are you going to do any quilting in the part of the border with text in it? If not, would stippling behind the feathers be too much quilting next to no quilting? I have no doubt that the stippling would look nice, just wondering about density.
chickenscratch
Betsy, thanks. I did stipple behind the words, but you can't see the white thread on the white fabric in the picture.

whitepinesquilter
Teresa, this is just so pretty! I've got the panel with the Cancer phrases but haven't decided what to do with it yet. My dad died of complications of throat cancer, and I'm thinking the way you set these in is just great. So very pretty, indeed.
