Mercedes
I can't believe I did this - I accidentally put a 3 inch long ink mark (from a blue ink pen) on my quilt fabric (light yellow). I didn't want to try and take it out until I got some recommendations on what to use. If anyone has taken ink out successfully, please share your secret. Thanks for any tips.....Mercedes

FloridaMissy
I've had good luck using a product called Amodex Ink & Stain Remover you can buy it at Lowe's, Home Depot or Bed Bath & Beyond.
Mercedes
Thank you both, hopefully one of these will work for me!
LisaC
Hairspray, too. Might be a good idea to test on a scrap first. Hope you get it removed successfully.
srichardson
If it is ballpoint ink I have had success with rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip.
ffq-lar
If the other suggestions don't work, I used Carbona Stain Devil formula for ink and crayon to remove a large amount of gel-pen ink from vintage fabric. Available in the laundry section and at Joanns. Good luck!
Neher-in-law5
Years ago I got out a full pen amount of ink from khaki pants with repeated uses of alcohol. I ended up with a pair of pants that didn't show any evidence of ink at all. If all you have is a drawing line of ink, alcohol or one of the other listed options should work. Good luck. Mercedes
I tried the hairspray first using a Q-tip and that got part of the ink out, then I went to the rubbing alcohol - that did it! All the ink came out, it's been washed. Thanks to everyone for the tips!

Wyonut2run
I was sure glad to have this information on Sunday. Wore a white vest to the grocery store and got ball point pen marks on it (gotta cross those items off the list!). Took the marks off easily with rubbing alcohol, threw it in with the white dress shirts, wash and dried just fine, the marks are gone! But wait, there is a new mark, and another! I had forgotten to take the pen out of my pocket and now have blue ink marks all over the shirts, too! Aaarrrrgghh
Cagey
When life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade, thus you must consider this as an unplanned shopping event.
